Ice CubeのツアーDJとしても知られるCrazy Toonesが亡くなる。Ice CubeとDJ Premierの彼へのメッセージ

 

西海岸のベテランがまた亡くなってしまった。

本日Ice CubeのツアーDJとしても知られるCrazy Toonesが亡くなったというニュースが入ってきた。彼はWestside ConnectionのラッパーWCの弟としても知られる。彼はWC and the Maad CirclesのDJとしてキャリアをスタートし、Ice Cube、Kurupt、WCなどさまざまな西海岸アーティストと共演をしてきた。

 

SNSではさまざまなアーティストが彼に向けてメッセージを残している。

Ice Cube：俺のホーミーであり、ブラザーであり、DJでもある彼を失った。Crazy Toonesが亡くなって俺は駄目になってしまうかもしれない。

To DJ Crazy Toones… He’s WC’s brother and also ICE CUBE’s DJ and one of my best friends on the West Coast since I was 21 years old… I just got the news… We have so many memories beyond my career in HIP HOP! Toones and Dub were the 1st to show us The Hood and see what’s really going on in South Central…and they were hanging with us in NY SINCE 1989… From hangin with The Legend DJ Alladin to COOLIO @coolio we did mad shit… Just Friend Shit! This is so hard to accept but I have to bcuz we all have a start and an ending in this life… To the Calhoun Family We Are Here For You! DJ Premier：まだ理解できていない。左の男「DJ Crazy Toones」。WCの兄弟であり、Ice CubeのDJであり、俺の西海岸の親友が亡くなったとニュースが入ってきた。ヒップホップという仕事だけではなく、昔から色々な一緒にやったことを覚えてる。俺が西海岸にいってSouth Central（LAのフッド）でどのようなことが起こっているか最初に見せてくれたのもWCとCrazy Toonesだった。愛してるぜ。伝説として羽ばたいてくれ。

 

彼のDJとしてのレガシーは語り継がれるだろう。今夜は彼のミックステープを聞こう。R.I.P. Crazy Toones
